  • New Ally Against Animal Cruelty

Mark Kumpf, Superintendent of Animal Services for Newport News, Virginia was recently elected to the board of directors of San Diego based Pet-Abuse.Com.

    Server Migration/Technical Issues

Some of you may know, we recently migrated to a new, faster and more secure webserver at the beginning of the year. While the transition was mostly a smooth one, we have run into a few glitches along the way, which we have been addressing as we go.

This webserver was built from the ground up, thanks to your continued financial support and a special grant from Buchanan Foster Pet Care in Aberdeen, Maryland - and it will result in better security and services to you.

That said, please bear with us for the next week or so. We're nearing the end of a very long to-do list for the server, but we're not 100% done yet. If you run into website errors, glitches, or anything else that just seems "off", please drop us a line and let us know.

As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

    New Resource to Combat Dog-Fighting
    Dogfighters.org

While the Internet age has helped animal advocates make incredible strides, it has also facilitated in the sharing of information among criminals. Just as those who strive to protect animals continue to become more web-savvy, so do those they are trying to stop.

In response to this overwhelming problem, Pet-Abuse.Com has launched a new resource to help law enforcement combat illegal dog-fighting.

Dogfighters.Org, a perpetual work in progress, is designed to grow and evolve as new information is learned.

In order to protect the information we have compiled, access to the restricted areas of the site is limited to members of law enforcement, prosecuting attorneys and animal cruelty task forces - however access is completely free, so be sure to pass this along to your local law enforcement.

Instructions are listed on the sign-up page regarding how to submit your information for validation and gain approval to access the restricted areas. And of course, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail us.
